The HerbologyWoodburn Blog

This is an unauthorized blog, since the Historic Foundation has not requested that we publicize the house, and we are not pro gardeners, just well-read amateurs with a passion for plants.

We just think that this combination of native-plant, mostly-organic gardening with wildlife gardening, historic preservation, volunteerism, and elbow grease deserves some record and will be interesting to other gardeners, volunteers, and preservers of the historic record.

We'll discuss ongoing activity in the garden, including how-to's of what we learn from the work, profiles of Appalachian medicinal plants, and the cycle of the seasons in a garden that serves dozens of purposes at once.
